Anthurium Dusk Ablaze (S1)

Anthurium Dusk Ablaze x self (S1)

Introducing the second selfing of Anthurium Dusk Ablaze, and the first time we are making this cross available publicly.

Our first Dusk Ablaze S1 batch had an extremely limited yield and was sold out almost immediately, with a huge waiting list forming through our Instagram channel. This second batch gives us another opportunity to share this special plant with collectors and, more importantly, to finally see how a larger group of Dusk Ablaze S1 seedlings develops under different growing conditions.

Anthurium Dusk Ablaze

One of our original plants, and something we have kept fairly private over the years. While we have never revealed its full background, many will recognise the likely Red Spider influence within Dusk Ablaze.

It has only been used in a small number of crosses, always producing very limited yields while consistently contributing strong colour, depth and dramatic character.

Dusk Ablaze is especially admired for its dark foliage, rich emergent colours and refined velvet texture, making it one of the more distinctive plants in our collection.

⸻

Expectations

This is only the second selfing ever produced from Dusk Ablaze, so we are particularly excited to see what this S1 generation brings.

Selfing gives us the opportunity to explore the traits of Dusk Ablaze more closely, with the potential for seedlings to express its characteristic colour, depth, dark foliage and velvet texture in different combinations.

We are especially looking forward to watching these develop in different environments and seeing just how much character this plant can pass on.

Availability

Freshly harvested a few weeks ago and currently sprouting and rooting.

This is the first Dusk Ablaze S1 batch we have ever offered publicly, making it a particularly limited release.

Seedling size will vary depending on when your order is placed, as these will continue developing while available.
