The Red Ber Apple, scientifically referred to as Ziziphus Jujuba, is an evergreen shrub that bears spines. Its fruits display a variable range of shapes and sizes, which can be oval, obovate, oblong, or round, and are characterized by their white, crisp flesh. When these fruits are slightly under-ripe, they tend to be mildly juicy and release a pleasant aroma. The skin of the fruit is smooth, glossy, thin, yet firmly attached to the flesh.

Similar to the Green Ber Apple, the Red Ber Apple distinguishes itself primarily through its skin color. When ripe, it takes on a red hue, although the exact shade of red may vary, influenced by factors like the soil and climate conditions in which it grows.

This low-calorie fruit, the Ber Apple, is a nutritional powerhouse, packed with dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and robust antioxidants. Furthermore, it contains significant amounts of potassium, which plays a crucial role in regulating muscle functions and preserving electrolyte balance. Additionally, the Ber fruit is rich in amino acids, encompassing 18 of the essential 24 that are instrumental in promoting growth and development.

Referred to as Ziziphus Jujuba in common parlance, this fruit falls under the botanical name Ziziphus Mauritiana. Typically, it begins to bloom and bear fruit around the 4-5 year mark, with maintenance requirements considered moderate.
