About the Cross

This hybrid was created by Jorge (@anthuriumstory), a respected Anthurium breeder known for producing premium hybrids.

The mother plant, Carlablackiae (Round x GPH-001), traces back to Grant Abadal’s outstanding Round and GPH-001 lines, both renowned for producing beautifully rounded leaves, deep velvet texture, and refined venation.

The pollen donor, BVEP x Carlablackiae, introduces the exceptional dark velvet characteristics and texture that have made BVEP one of the most desirable Anthurium lineages among collectors.

Together, this backcross has the potential to produce seedlings with outstanding structure, rich velvet foliage, and beautifully refined Carlablackiae characteristics.
